The Software Developer position will assist in bringing legacy plant management applications up to current Department of Energy (DOE) standards for security and use. Daily duties can include maintenance of Microsoft SQL Servers, converting Access databases to web applications or SharePoint applications, maintenance and troubleshooting of legacy applications and working with customers to develop new custom applications to streamline plant operations.
Other job responsibilities will include:
Coordinates database design, development and performance to support business requirements
Validates data integrity through audits, file comparisons or similar processes
Must be able to provide simultaneous support of multiple enterprise software applications and IT projects
Responsible for supporting IT related projects such as system upgrades and application development in compliance with standard project management methodologies
Monitors and coordinates user access levels to systems and data as appropriate
Configures reports, data transfers and other user-driven requests for system data or output
BA/BS in closely related field and 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Typical experience ranges from 5 – 8 years.
5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and T/SQL
Knowledge of C#, .Net and ASP.Net
Knowledge of .Net Core and SharePoint development a plus
Must have or be able to obtain a DOE “L” Security Clearance (clearance is not required to start work)
